OUR MOST POPULAR ARTICLE OF 2014: Shinola Shop designed by Rockwell Group

Rockwell Group designed the wonderful Shinola Shop with a vintage twist and creative design.

New York Design Agenda considers that not only a great interior design project itself but also a unique project with the amazing scenery with bicycles in every corners, that are part of this setting.

Located in the heart of downtown Manhattan in trendy TriBeCa, the boutique also features a newsstand and café operated by local favorite restaurant The Smile.

Shinola makes bikes and watches in Detroit.

So, The Rockwell Group filled the 2,400-square-foot TriBeCa space with materials that reference our country’s manufacturing heritage, from brick walls to poured-concrete flooring.

The new 2,000-square-foot space was designed by the renowned Rockwell Group and incorporates raw materials like wood, bronze, brass and steel that echo Shinola’s minimalist, slightly masculine aesthetic.
