“I love luxe. I would sit on fur all the time if I could.” Ryan Korban’s unashamed delight in luxury is his trademark.
His extensive work with Alexander Wang has been well documented globally, and his celebrity clientele reads like a list of N.Y.C.’s finest it kids: Jessica Stam, James Franco, Vanessa Traina, and Natasha Poly.
His approach and mantra is simple: he toys with the idea that our living space can be exact and polished – while still comfortable and supremely livable.
With a spectacularly captivating eye, Korban is one of the most meticulous self-made and untrained stylists today, ensuring that the spaces he defines are both attractive and inspirational.
“My life is about retail,” admitted the designer. “It’s figuring out what kind of shelf Prada puts their bags on. I love the energy this city puts into commercial spaces and my favorite spot, Madison Avenue is the center of that. It always needs to be fresh and moving.”
