The Best Galleries and Design Museums To Visit In New York City – The event AD Show 2019 is almost upon us! This fair is going to be held between 21st and the 24th of March in New York City. MAD MUSEUM
Located at 2 Columbus Circle is the Museum of Arts and Design. MAD champions contemporary makers across creative fields, presenting artists, designers, and artisans who apply the highest level of ingenuity and skill to their work.
COOPER HEWITT, SMITHSONIAN DESIGN MUSEUM
This museum is devoted exclusively to historic and contemporary design. Cooper Hewitt educates, inspires and empowers people through stunning exhibitions and educational programs. Housed in the former home of steel, the design museum’s building is a landmark on its own. The museum also encompasses the National Design library, a tremendous historical resource for design.
AIGA NATIONAL DESIGN CENTER GALLERY
The gallery at the American Institute of Graphic Arts prides itself in presenting exhibitions on a contemporary design which are, themselves, design pieces. The content of each exhibition is presented in a narrative format which both looks beautiful and explains the relevance of the work on display.
NEW YORK SCHOOL OF INTERIOR DESIGN GALLERY
The New York School of Interior Design Gallery is unique in its ability to host student work throughout the year, allowing the development of future design careers.
