ICFF 2019 is fastly approaching and with it lots of exciting design events that you can attend and would for sure improve your design experience. Part of NYCxDesign and famously known as the International Contemporary Furniture Fair, from May 19th until the 22nd Javits Center is where all the streets lead to.
Alongside ICFF, there are some other important New York design events happening and that we all should know about and make time for.
NYCxDesign Awards & ICFF Party
The NYCxDESIGN Awards & Party is a complete must of NYCxDESIGN, the annual celebration of design that attracts thousands of visitors and designers all around the world in the City That Never Sleeps. The Awards Ceremony starts at 6pm and you can join the ICFF awards party (in celebration of all the 2019 NYCxDESIGN honorees) to enjoy good drinks, unbelievable food and a great chance of networking.
ICFF Silent Auction
To help raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s, ICFF is hosting a silent auction – for the second year in a row. This silent auction features items donated by ICFF exhibitors and will be on display throughout the whole show. On May 22nd at 3pm and on the ICFF Talks Main Stage, the winning bids will be announced and all proceeds from the silent auction will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Artisans of Influence Exhibit
ICFF is home for a unique celebration of artisan work promoted by Luxe Interiors + Design that showcases an array hand-crafted home furnishings in the Luxe Lounge. Displayed in a museum-like exhibit, it will provide an up close and personal look at some very exclusive pieces.
Ventura New York – The Dutch Edition
This edition of Ventura Projects brings 17 carefully curated Dutch designers with a specific focus on international contemporary design – both by upcoming designers as well as established brands and labels.

Designers of better commercial spaces will target this feature as a must-see for the latest in lighting, furniture, flooring, wall coverings, seating and materials.
ICFF Studio
ICFF Studio is the result of a long partnership between ICFF and Bernhardt Design that intents on bringing the emerging designers shaping design to the forefront of the ICFF Studio competition. Judged on design aesthetics, the ability to be economically mass produced, marketability and commercial viability, the whole concept of the Studio is part of ICFF‘s commitment to discover “what’s next, what’s next.”
Interiors of Spain
Six of Spain’s most creative designers showcase new directions in design, with everything from a 3D-printed chair and ceramic centrepieces, to crafted furniture and accessories in painted ceramics and blown glass.
And if these wouldn’t be enough or interest you at all – Covet NYC is promoting two very special events during ICFF. Exhibiting at Booth 449 in which they’ll showcase all the best products from the 11 brands that are part of Covet House, “The Mansion” aka Covet NYC will be hosting an Open House where, for the very first time, anyone can stop by with no appointment. The Open House is happening from May 20th until May 22nd at 172 Madison Avenue and it includes Covet NYC‘s official ICFF Kick Off Party on the 21st.
