In the design industry, the growing of Portuguese design as started to become a statement in the interior design projects, therefore we decided to disclose five extraordinary interior design projects from luxury furniture brands, including Boca do Lobo, DelightFULL, Brabbu, KOKET and Covet House.
These are rather exclusive and ingenious design ideas with the purpose of showing the country’s identity and culture.
Luxury Residence in Italian Countryside Featuring DELIGHTFULL
This amazing residence was developed by Ukranian interior designers, Vitaliy Yurov and Iryna Dzhemesiuk who manage Diff. Studio since 2015. Celebrated for giving birth to astronomically charming interior design projects, Italy was the right place to create a luxurious residence which is best characterized by an amalgamation of contemporary and classic styles. Amongst the many astonishing pieces, one can be bestowed upon flawless and lustrous lighting fixtures from the unique brand, DelightFULL.
A sense of airiness was attributed to this majestic place that is filled with bright and vivid colors as well as modern furniture. The interiors of this Italian countryside residence tell a narrative of time and innovation through the use of classic techniques. Old architecture, vaulted ceilings, golden details, and high-class lamp designs are just some of traits of this striking beauty.
The dynamic duo resorted to furniture brands, such as Minotti, Poltrona Frau, Kristalia, Maison Valentina, Boca do Lobo, and Amuneal in order to give an elegant and sophisticated aura to the interiors. In regards to lighting pieces, as said previously, DelightFULL was one of the main players with pieces such as the Hanna Floor Lamp, the Hanna Pendant Lamp, the Brubeck Suspension Lamps, the Brubeck Wall Lamp, and the Sinatra Vintage Floor Lamp.
BRABBU Present at the New Moongata Showroom
Quite recently, a new Moongata Showroom opened its doors in the heart of Barrio de Las Letras in Madrid. BRABBU was one of the many luxury brands selected to participate in this exceptionally curated showroom. Moongata was founded by José Usero and Alfredo Díaz and, out of curiosity, the word means “path of light that the moon reflects in the water.” You can visit Moongata Showroom at C/Lope de Vega 13, Ground Floor, in the fantastic Madrid city, Spain.
The showroom – which is more viewed as an awe-inspiring art gallery – was conceived by having the idea of offering to the general public an exclusive selection of charismatic and soulful decoration and furniture designs, each piece has a distinctive appeal to it. Featured in the MOONGATA showroom, a trinity of upholstered and contrasting pieces from Brabbu are present: the MALAY Armchair, a graceful green velvet armchair with a mystical soul, the COMO Sofa, a tribute to natural beauty, and ZULU Sofa, a mid-century modern furniture piece, all designed by BRABBU.
Boca do Lobo: A Fascinating and Memorable Creation – Casa Décor Madrid, Portuguese Embassy in Madrid
This challenge started with an initiative proposed by AICEP to renowned Spanish interior designer, Pepe Leal. The main goal of the designer was to terminate any preconceived notion that Portugal is characterized by an old-fashioned and rustic style. In turn, Leal highlighted the Country’s fondness for tradition and topicality showcasing serene spaces reigned by quality.
To put this idea into motion, the designer cautiously selected significant materials, such as cork, blue tiles and pink marble that would reflect Portugal’s history and artistic nature. This glamorous project showcases Portugal’s experience in handcrafted tradition while combining it with a touch of modernity.
The fact that the Casa Décor Madrid is located in the capital of Spain, the land of cosmopolitan and sophisticated lifestyle, it will be a massive contribution for Portuguese Design, thus opening the possibility for international sensibility.
A flawless series of enticing furniture pieces were considered to be just the right fit, like the Heritage Sideboard by Boca do Lobo which has quite a befitting name and the Brubeck Suspension Light by DelightFULL. Many other Portuguese references were also used, counting with Urban Mint, Ginger and Jagger, Munna and New Terracotta.
KOKET Goes Ethnic Chic: A Charming Amsterdam canal house is transformed by the designers at Ethnic Chic
Amsterdam Canal House was designed by Robin Toetenel and Ingrid Steyrer from Ethnic Chic which was established in 2004. The dynamic duo revamped the entirety of the house with a warm and glamorous touch, utilizing many pieces from empowering brand, KOKET in the living room and bedroom. The canal house project was worked on day and night to be completed within a three-week timeframe. Overall its decor is best described by fully customed furniture, lavish fabrics, and materials as well as quality craftsmanship.
The living room is distinguished by aubergine tones, high ceilings, and large windows. Two Burlesque consoles were placed at either side of the area as its acrobatic polish brass hoops and exotic reptile embossed velvet gave extra spice to the decor – “The living room with a grandeur high ceilings and view on the canals, there could not be a better twist then the two crazy Koket consoles we proposed for this project. It really turned the whole living room around from being a beautiful setting to a place with a twist and character. I like that in specific pieces to have that kind of feeling. To add a bit of spice while playing it on the edge. It certainly worked for this project!” – Robin Toetenel
Darker shades and exquisite finishes highlight the bedroom design that screams of vintage Hollywood boudoir. KOKET’s Envy chaise makes an opulent statement in the bedroom design, with soft button tufting and sleek polished brass feet while the Vivre chandelier casts a sultry glow, with the light shining behind 19 genuine agate slices.
Although they had a limited time period to conclude this project, Ethnic chic was able to meet the client’s expectations and, at the same time, design a noteworthy and cohesive space.

BRABBU’s suite is very much in touch with nature as the main materials, textures and colors make it quite evident as well as furniture pieces, such as the Sequoia side table to the Cassis wood sideboard.
