Adler launched his first ceramic collection in 1993 at Barneys New York. Five years later he expanded into home furnishings, opening his first namesake boutique in Manhattan. Adler now has 26 stores worldwide, an e-commerce site, and wholesale business with over 1,000 locations worldwide.
In addition to ceramic design, Jonathan Adler Enterprises has expanded to become a design brand offering decorative objects, tabletop collections, bedding, bath accessories, gifts, candles, furniture, rugs, pillows, lighting, and most recently handbags. His projects go beyond real Home Decor. In 2009, for instance, Adler was asked by Mattel to design the modern-glam interiors for the “real” Barbie Dream House as part of Barbie’s 50th anniversary!
