Jonathan Adler is more than one could imagine. A potter, designer and author, Adler launched his first ceramic collection in 1993 at Barneys New York. Fast foward to five years later and he expanded into home furnishings and a first boutique in Manhattan.
Now, Adler counts with 26 stores worldwide, an e-commerce site and a wholesale business with 1000 locations worldwide. In addition to ceramic design, Jonathan Adler Enterprises has expanded to become a design brand offering decorative objects, tabletop collections, bedding, bath accessories, gifts, candles, furniture and most recently, handbags.
Adler’s dedicated to bringing style, craft and positivity to the home. Committed to impeccable craftsmanship and irreverent luxury, Jonathan’s inspiration is drawn from the mid-century and modern art. Jonathan’s full aesthetic speaks to his Global Pop love.
More than designing furniture and product, Adler produces some stellar interior designs and works with other brands quite often. For instance, back in 2009, Adler was asked by Mattel to design the modern-glam interiors for the “real” Barbie Dream House as part of Barbie’s 50th anniversary!
Best known for his “happy” interior designs and line of home furnishings, Jonathan owns a design company that’s dedicated to bringing “grooviness to your home” with pottery, furniture or his rugs.
“We live to make our surroundings as glamorous as you are. We offer Complimentary Interior Design Services in all of our retail locations or online, and for large-scale projects, we have an Interiors team based in our New York studio.”
Jonathan has a particular desire – the wish to design all the bits one needs to create a flawlessly chic home.
Jonathan Adler’s rugs feature his signature geometric patterns and bright colour palettes. Each rug being handmade and uses thick lustrous threads of tibetan wool which, when knotted, produces a wonderfully dense texture.
Making a point to surprise in his designs and fighting for the happiness of design lovers, his amazing interiors are constantly a trend for the interior design world and a source of inspiration for top luxury design brands.
