Dear New York lovers,
Today we will show you the NY House of John Legend and his lover Chrissy Teigen. They gave an exclusive to Architectural Digest Magazine and we are here to share with you. The renovation was made by Don Stewart of Desiderata Design in collaboration with Winka Dubbeldam of Archi-Tectonics.
A Donald Sultan painting surmounts a chest of drawers in the living area, while a framed Polly Borland tapestry hangs on the wall at far left; the dark leather armchairs are vintage Arne Norell designs from Emmerson Troop, the bronze side tables are by Stephanie Odegard Collection, and the carpet is by Doris Leslie Blau.
In the dining area, a steel wall serves as the backdrop for a mixed-media work by Mike Weber, a bronze bureau by BDDW, and an Aldo Bakker sculpture. Beneath a light fixture by Ochre, Ted Muehling candlesticks from BDDW cluster on a table from Lucca Antiques; the chairs were custom made by Stewart.
Pendant lights by Early Electrics are suspended above a bronze-clad island in the kitchen, where cabinetry designed by Don Stewart meets a custom-made backsplash by Mosaic Sphere Studio; the cooktop is by Bertazzoni, and the stools are by Anna Karlin from Atelier Courbet.
The master bath, featuring travertine walls and a black limestone herringbone floor, is outfitted with a Jacques Garcia mirror by Baker, a tub and fittings by Waterworks, and a taboret by Paul Mathieu for Stephanie Odegard Collection.
A 19th-century gilded-leather screen from Dmitriy & Co. spans one of the bedroom walls; the 1970s chandelier is from Lucca Antiques, the bed is from Siglo Moderno, the table lamps are by Kriest, the green silk coverlet is by Frette, and the carpet is from Doris Leslie Blau.
