Hudson Yards, the biggest private real-estate development in U.S. history opened today! It offers city dwellers and tourists alike a shopping experience, unlike your traditional neighborhood mall. And New York Design Agenda will tell you everything you need to know about this design project. Take a look:
Hudson Yards is a 28-acre mixed-use development on Manhattan’s far West Side, bound by 34th and 30th street to the north and south, and by Tenth Avenue and the West Side Highway to the east and west. In total, the space includes a whopping 18 million square feet, spread throughout 16 buildings on 28 acres of land.
The shops include mall staples like Sephora, Lululemon, Tumi, and H&M, but there’s also luxury retail like Louis Vuitton, Fendi, Tiffany, Cartier and more.
The entire Hudson Yards development, which amounts to 18 million square feet on Manhattan’s West Side, is also going to be home to businesses like marketing guru Gary Vaynerchuk’s VaynerMedia, CNN, SAP, Warner Bros., Tapestry and L’Oreal — all of which have either already opened up their headquarters there, or are in the process of doing so.
