The NYCxDesign Awards it’s an annual event that aims to celebrate Design by awarding the best products and projects of NYC. This event takes place in New York City, usually in May, and it attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors and designers from all over the world.
The submissions are open until 3rd April and this year new categories will be included: jewelry design, industrial design, building facades, and LIVExDESIGN. If you have a potential winning project or product, this is your chance to participate!
While we wait for the event to happen, we made a selection of the NYCxDesign Awards Winners of 2019 for you, in the Interior Design category, including commercial and residential projects. Take a look!
Winner: Times Square Edition by Yabu Pushelberg
Yabu Pushelberg is an international design company, with offices in New York and Toronto. Their designs aim to trigger unique sensations and feelings and to stand out from the crowd. Their work focus on commercial projects, like hotels, restaurants, and retailers.

Winner: Momofuku Noodle Bar, Columbus Circle by INC Architecture & Design
INC Architecture & Design is a well-known architecture and design studio based in New York City. At INC “context is king”, meaning that their design solutions are inspired by the social, cultural, physical and historical context of their projects.

Winner: 18th Room by West Chin Architects
West Chin Architects is an architecture, interior design and decorating firm based in New York City with a second office in East Hampton, and they are recognized for their distinguishing modern commercial and residential projects.
Winner: Indoor/Outdoor Sculpture Garden – 56 Leonard by SheltonMindel
SheltonMindel is an architectural firm based in New York City that provides architectural, interiors and product design services for corporate, retail, hospitality, and residential clients. This is one of the top American firms to interpret the classic modern style in the industry today.
Winner: 91 Leonard by Whitehall Interiors
Whitehall is a design studio located in Manhattan that specializes in interior design, interior architecture and custom furnishings. They are experts in creating unique experiences, turning each space aesthetically beautiful and functional at the same time.

Winner: Eagle Lofts by Slade Architecture
Slade Architecture is an award-winning architecture and design firm based in New York. The team believes in the power of design to improve the world and they are always looking for design solutions that go beyond the client’s expectations.
Winner: Greenwich Village Penthouse by Messana O’Rorke
Messana O’Rorke is an architecture and interior design firm founded in 1996 in New York City and it has won several design awards all over the years, since 1998. The firm believes in the strength of design to improve life quality and its works combine architecture, contemporary style, and technology to provide smart and functional spaces.
Winner: Fort Greene Townhouse by TBD Architecture & Design Studio
TBD Architecture & Design Studio is an award-winning architecture and design firm located in Manhattan. They provide designs centered on clients’ needs, paying much attention to research and conceptualization, as well as high-quality and innovation.
Winner: The XI Visionaries Gallery by Gabellini Sheppard Associates
Gabellini Sheppard Associates is a New York-based firm founded in 1991. Their design projects focus on open spaces, lights, and materials to create simple, yet innovative environments, with special attention to details.
Winner: Fiandre by GI Design Studio
GI Design Studio is a firm that specializes in architecture, planning, and interior design projects. They have a customer-centered approach, meaning that all their projects have in mind the client’s lifestyle or corporate vision, and their designs develop a style that reflects the lasting quality and aesthetic appeal.
