Saks Fifth Avenue

In New York City, at 34th Street at Herald Square you can find Saks Fifth Avenue, a luxury retailer store, which was built in the dream of Horace Saks and Bernard Gimbel to construct a unique specialty store that would be synonym of fashion and gracious living. So, if you are visiting NYC this is a “must see” stop that you shouldn’t miss.The combination of financial inputs and knowledge of Saks and Gimbel families allow them to purchase a fantastic place between 49th and 50th Streets on upper Fifth Avenue and so, on September 15, in 1924, Horace and Bernard made the big opening of their “dream store”, making Saks Fifth Avenue the first large retail operation to locate in what was then a primarily a residential district.
