Cosmopolitan style meets elegance and sophistication in the Four Seasons hotel. The building looks traditional, but here you can find pure modishly and unique elements.
Right after the entrance, a staircase overwhelms the guests. It’s impossible to look away. Its decorative metal materials cause impact in everyone that sees it.
On the ground floor, the visitors encounter the lobby, where Sophie Mallebranche’s soaring screens are punctually spread, a business center and lots of small spaces where you can relax and take a nice coffee.
Combined with inspiring luxury designs, a peaceful spa and a lap pool will help them relaxing and enjoying the comfort and convenience they need.
Yabu Pushelberg wages on the dark wood to panel walls and columns with the goal of creating the sensation of warmth and sophistication on the guest. He introduces numerous thoughtful details that make the difference to the eye.
All the rooms have natural light and the wood paneling continues in these spaces. Yabu Pushelberg designed dynamic light systems where the guest can choose if he wants a more smooth ambiance or a more energetic one. Nude and pastel colors are very present and they try to combine it with the used materials: especially wood and patterned carpets.
“We want to crack away at a singular, strong message.”, says Yabu. Their aim is to fulfill all customer needs and try to stand out from other interior designs. Art Deco is slightly present in this project and we can see that from carpeting and Tetris lines in wall panels.
“They captured the unique character of Lower Manhattan, where history is merging with a dynamic new era.”, says Peter Humig, general manager of the Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown.
The bathrooms are minimalist and coated with spotted marbled stone. They only have the essential, but the design follows a highly modern idea: natural light, large mirrors and glass doors.
The chosen colors and materials fit perfectly with the idea of the interior designers. They wage on simple lines but very defined ones. The subtle retro design is very present and meets exactly the expectations of the guest.
The classic architectural profile of this recent five-star hotel fits perfectly in the world’s most famous skyline. It’s perfect for those who want to discover this amazing city and, at the same time, want to experience the most incredible adventures.
